At Parkview, we have a variety of student groups that our children can participate in. We want to provide many opportunities for our students to be leaders and demonstrate kindness. Our students have a great deal of pride for our school.

Student Lighthouse Team

The student lighthouse team is a team compiled of 1-4 graders that write an extensive application and have demonstrated leadership in their classrooms. This team is a representative group that seeks out the voices of their peers and helps to inform school decisions about leadership. This team also directs our leadership days and creates activities and opportunities to support our leadership theme each year.

Safeties

The Parkview Safety Patrol is a group of responsible, helpful, and dedicated 4th grade leaders. Their mission is to provide a safe environment for all Parkview students during the end of the day dismissal. The Safety Patrol takes pride in reminding classmates of safe practices, guiding fellow students to their dismissal locations, and ensuring that all Parkview students are prepared for a safe ride home.

Kindness Club

The Kindness Club at Parkview began with a few students who were inspired by the book The Goodness Gorillas and after a yearlong school theme of “Boomerang Kindness.” The club meets every month during lead time to plan acts of kindness for our school community and beyond. The club’s first project was to throw a “surprise party” for our custodians at our Day at the Park assembly to show our appreciation for their hard work. The Kindness Club focuses on a new act of kindness every month, so be on the lookout for more kindness!
